Below is the PDF document of a “letter” we gave to our HRM group when we left. We are not theologians (obviously) so this is more of a passionate plea for them to see the contrast we had seen between the old and new covenants. We could have gone many different directions with our dissent, but believed this to be the most crucial issue God had opened our eyes to. We admit it was probably overkill, quoting most of the New Testament, but we were emotionally charged at this time and desperate for the light to shine through. Words still fail to truly express the gravity of the revelation! My husband directed the content and I wrote it.
There are far and away better works written on the subject, but this was our “first light”. We believe the worst atrocity of the HRM is the devaluation of the Person of Christ. The Gospels become four legs of a table used to display the Torah. Followers find more pleasure in seeing Him in the shadows than acknowledging the superior, open revelation of the Gospel record and clear instruction from the Holy Spirit to Christ’s body through the Epistles. The more obscure the shadow they can uncover, the more wise they esteem themselves. This misguided devotion for the shadow leads many into total darkness of unbelief.
The second document is an add on we felt was important (as if 27 pages were not enough! lol)
Having been rescued from the HRM myself, I am grateful to know others out there have been too. That movement is a massive bunch of lies. I am very thankful for my experience because I learned some very important truths had I not walked that path. I now follow no man… but trust in the Holy Spirit to guide me, John 16:13, I John 2:27.
