Wonderful teaching site, free Bible downloads and FREE theology course (highly recommend!): Bible.org
I am a firm believer that the best Christian resource is God’s Word and His Spirit. There are many great teachers, books, and internet sites – so many in fact that we can be overwhelmed with information or become dependent on the scholarship of others. The same Spirit that lived in Peter and Paul is also in you if you have trusted in Jesus and follow Him. Trust that Spirit to teach you and invest time and effort into knowing Him through meditating on the Word of God and prayer. Of course we learn much from others, but we must never put all of our trust in a human teacher alone. I love what Kay Arthur states in her book, How to Study the Bible, that we should always mine out all we can from the Word of God in prayer before we seek the commentaries of others.
That being said, I have also been very blessed by these others who have learned of the same Spirit. You can look them up if you wish: Corrie ten Boom, Keith Green, Watchman Nee, Charles Spurgeon, Richard Wurmbrand, and Zac Poonen.
